Break, Maymester & Summer Housing

Break Housing

Our Residence Halls are officially closed during Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring, and Easter breaks. However, housing will be provided for students who meet the criteria for break housing (extreme distance, academic obligations, on campus employment, in-season student athlete, student teacher, international student).

It is the responsibility of each resident to plan their own travel accordingly to comply with this policy.

Students may be eligible to stay if they are a…

  • In-season student athlete
  • Student Teacher
  • International Student
  • Student whose home state is an extreme distance
  • Employed on campus (supervisor and department must be included on request)
  • Academic-based internship for credit (internship site and hours must be included on request)

For more information on Break Housing and Commencement Housing, students can visit the Break & Commencement Housing site on the MyPC portal (sign-in required).

Maymester & Summer Housing

Engaged learning opportunities are important for students throughout the academic year as well as the summer months.  Students engaged in academic activities (e.g., on-campus research, Maymester programs, campus-sponsored intensive service projects, internships) that necessitate overnight housing during the summer may apply for on-campus housing.
