Please note: Any questions or concerns regarding the Ship Ahead Program should be directed to UPS.
Providence College has partnered with The UPS Store to make fall move-in easier using their Ship Ahead Program!
If you plan to ship items prior to your arrival, those shipments can be sent to The UPS Store and they will deliver them to your room prior to your arrival. The UPS Store will receive and deliver packages you ship from home as well as packages you order online and direct ship to their location near campus.
If you are planning to ship belongings to campus, we highly encourage you to use UPS. You should not ship any large packages to the PC mailroom.
How Does the Program Work?
To utilize the Ship Ahead service students should follow this three-step process:
STEP 1: ADDRESS PACKAGES TO SHIP TO THE UPS STORE AT:
PC Ship Ahead Program
<Student Name>
<Fall Residence Hall>
1643 Warwick Ave
Warwick, RI 02889
STEP 2: NOTIFY THE UPS STORE THAT PACKAGES ARE ON THEIR WAY
- Send an email to college@theupsstoreri.com stating that you plan to use the Ship Ahead service or that packages are in transit. In the email include your phone number and carrier/tracking information (if you have it).
STEP 3: PROVIDE PAYMENT OF SHIP AHEAD PROGRAM FEES
- Upon receiving your packages, The UPS Store will calculate the fees based on the fee schedule in the FAQs (see below). The UPS Store will then create and email an invoice via Square’s Online Payment System. Simply click the link for the invoice and pay with your credit card online.
ONCE THE UPS STORE RECEIVES YOUR ITEMS AND PAYMENT, YOUR ITEMS WILL BE STORED IN THE UPS WAREHOUSE AND WILL BE DELIVERED TO YOUR ON-CAMPUS RESIDENCE HALL ROOM AT A LATER DATE.
Shipping Deadlines
The UPS Store will receive items at any time during the summer, but we recommend that packages be shipped approximately 30 days prior to your on-campus arrival to allow time for any shipping delays and to process payment prior to the due date.
